...MY LAST ENTRY...

Oppsssssss sowie kalau I give uols a shocked !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not my last entry in blogging but last entry of the day, yipeeeeeeee it's Friday :)

This is the actual TITLE : CAMBODIA TRIP

To all dear frens, pls help me, please give me your advice or is there any of u out there have ever been to Cambodia.

My eldest doter, Yana had been selected to go to Cambodia, school educational trip. I'm still not sure if I want to let her go, 1 week in Cambodia ?????? of all places, why must the school chose Cambodia..........

At first it was Australia but than its changed to Cambodia............

Does anyone know anything about Cambodia, any ideas if its safe to go there, the environment, the safety, the Health issue, and any other info that I should know before I let her go.

I've got few comments from frens, family members even my boss, all more to negative than positive.

But still Kak Yana is very keen to go, me and hubby still considering. I know its a good experience for her to go there, caused she will be able to see the poverty there and feel the hardship that she is going to go through, but I'm more concerned about the safety of the place....

I'm not going to sent my daughter to somewhere that is not safe, I need all advice or info as much as i could .....THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH..........

Which part of Cambodia? Phnom Penh or Siem Reap or both? If PP, my colleague said its quite a nice place. Shopping best, ada bazaar kat town. Makan pun easy coz there is a halal restaurant owned by a Malaysian. Overall, she said its safe when she was there with her sister last year. But no guarantee now how is the condition.

Tapi kalau Yana gi Australia, lagi best!

mama, since this will be educational tour, the kiddos will help the poor kids there to built small library lah, clean temple, entah ape2 jer lah merapek kan, cooks for the poor kids there, n if I m not mistaken its Siem Reap, tentu its the kampung area....

oh kalau gitu, takde shoppinglah. My frens tau my hobby, so they tell me bab shopping mopping aje. Kalau educational tour, then all provided for but tempat tinggal cannot expect hotel yg bagus2. 1 thing to take note, just make sure its not during her 'period' coz the conditions of her tempat tinggal may not be suitable, you know, maybe toilet stuff etc.

However, its a good experience for these youngsters thou!

mama, tak der shopping mopping, if ader i pun nak kirim :)

Oh my boss pun ade mentioned abt the toilet stuff tau, tu yg ngeri, tak dapat i imagine....I think date yg she going is not during her 'period' but still kan its very inconvinient.....but in the other hand, memang its gd experience for her...

Takut kan bila kiter dengar more bad things than good things nie. On the other hand, Yana really keen to go. Kang kalo tak bagi kang, takut dier merajuk plak.

Why not Kak Moralle try to speak to her teacher abt this. Query if there is any adult accompanying them or such. U can also posed all questions or any doubt that you have.

Sis Moralle, even before the schools sediakan tempat to as and where we should go, sudah tentu they have considered everything, from lodging, food, safety, health issues, etc.

So I assure u dont have to worry and let Yana go. It will be a very good experience for her.

I've been to Sri Lanka for 2 weeks under YEP before. Jadi I am giving my utmost support for Yana to go for this Cambodia trip. [Common place to do volunteer work for schools fyi.]

Trust me Sis, she will not only learn and experience new things but at the same time, this expedition will help to beautify her resume and testimonial in near future. :)

Hope this helps!

Dik Yana! Kak Nad dah tolong sorak ni! Just promise ur mum u will take good care of urself k? :)

Nad, thanks dearie for the encouragement, it really helps to ease my worries about this trip, I will be talking to her teacher in-charge, me n hubby actually talked about it, the school of course dah considered everything before this trip is planned kan, tapi tu lah, perasaan seorang ibu, lagipun tak pernah berjauhan ngan anak begitu lama kan, ni 1st time kak Yana will be away from us for almost 1 week, before that cuma school camp, NPCC camp, tu pun 3 days 2 night, so macam sedih gitu on top of all the worries .....

sis..my bro pernah go there tapi tu lah... jez touring & shopping so not much can be said lah kan...

but ekceli, i rasa the Yana's school mesti dah take into consideration from all points ie safety, health, lodging nak nak if they all bawa budak2 kan... that is a huge responsiblity...

my son pun pernah travel with his chess mates to thailand (which masa tu asyik dengar story pasal tembak2 ajekan) but..i let him go gak coz my instict said that it was ok (ekceli after heavy interrogation to the chess officials) :D

but it's really up to you.. u should clear things up with the school first..pegi tanya whatever is bothering you... then if u nak let her go..ask her to promise to a few of ur rules(i'm sure you have made a list) :D

and yana..if u're going.. enjoy ur trip..DO PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! hope you'll have an education and memorable trip!!!

rasp, thanks laling, hmmmm kurang tekanan dan kerisauan jugak with all the concern from frens....I actually want to let her go tapi tu lah I'm worried about her safety, can she adapt or not, firstly berjauhan with me, secondly the place that she will be going, jangan dah sampai kat sana, tak sampai 1 hari call me nak balik, hmmmmm camner pulak kan..

I will get all things clear dulu, will chk with her school for sure, and for the rules, oh itu in the list to pass to her soon if she is going ):
